Marie is a South Carolina native, she grew up in Bluffton, SC and went to school at Newberry College where she graduated with a degree in mass communications and a minor in psychology.

Marie began her career in the Carolinas where she worked as an AP/news writer before moving into a reporter/producer position at WHNS-Fox Carolina in Greenville.

Prior to working in the Upstate of South Carolina Marie was an intern at SCETV-Beaufort (former WJWJ) as well as WIS Channel 10 in Columbia.

Marie says she's excited to be in the Shoals and looks forward to exploring the Valley and sharing your stories.
