A Huntsville karate teacher was arrested for robbery after he returned to the scene of the crime.

Huntsville police were called to a robbery Saturday evening at the Wal-Mart on Sparkman drive. A loss prevention employee detained a man after he tried to leave with unpaid merchandise.

Police said 22-year-old Chauncey Johnson was being escorted to an office when he pulled the employee to the ground and fled. Police said Johnson later returned to the store where police arrested him and charged him with third degree robbery.

The associate sustained minor injuries to her left arm.

Chauncey is employed at Greg Goff's Tiger Rock Martial Arts Academy in Huntsville. Goff said Johnson is suspended until completion of the investigation.
