HACKLEBURG, AL (WAFF) -

A decision on rebuilding one of the biggest employers in tornado-ravaged Hackleburg will be released Monday.

VF Corporation spent much of the past three months evaluating the pros and cons of rebuilding the Wrangler Distribution Center.

"We appreciate everyone's patience as we finalize our evaluation process," said Eric Wiseman, Chairman and Chief Execution Officer of VF. "We look forward to informing our associates and the Hackleburg community of our decision."

A powerful EF-5 tornado reduced the Wrangler facility to a pile of rubble on April 27th.

Since then, VF has provided work for a majority of the 150 displaced workers at other company-owned facilities in Hackleburg and Holly Pond.

Hackleburg's Mayor says the town faces a major setback if Wrangler moves on.

"Every business we have helps us, but they were our bread and butter," said Mayor Doug Gunnin. "They've been here since the late 50's until 2011 and you just can't afford to lose that many jobs."

Count on WAFF.com to bring you the decision just as soon as it is released.
