Florence murder suspects go before judge

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Three men arrested for the shooting death of a Florence teen went before a Lauderdale County judge Monday afternoon.

18-year-old LaMarcus Lashore, 19-year-old Devante Barnett and 19-year-old Tyrus Montrel Thompson were arrested Saturday and charged with capital murder.

Police said 17-year-old Joshua Honey was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery early Friday morning. Investigators believe it could drugs could have been involved.

The three suspects are being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center without bond. They were all appointed attorneys at Monday's hearing.

They will all have future hearings, but those dates have not been set.

This is the fist murder of 2011 in the city of Florence.
