Truck driver involved in I-565 wreck listed in fair condition

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Police responded to a two-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer on I-565.

The accident happened Saturday afternoon in front of the Raceway gas station.  

According to the Athens News-Courier, 23-year-old Kaylen Arrington from Falkville died at the scene, no other passengers were in the vehicle.

Arrington apparently pulled out in a front of the 18-wheeler while using her cell phone.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Vernon Bobo from Mississippi was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital by MEDFlight, where he is listed in fair condition.

All four lanes on I-565 west were temporarily shut down.
