A new playground that caters to special needs children is now open for use in Huntsville.
City leaders cut the ribbon on the "Everyone Can Play" playground.
Volunteers, along with The Kiwanis Club, The Optimist Club and The Contractors Association worked together to make this playground a reality.
It features a soft, rubberized surface and wheelchair ramps attached to jungle gyms.
City recreation officials expect it to be a major attraction in bringing people back to city parks.
The "Everyone Can Play" playground is located on Drake Avenue across from Brahan Springs Recreation Center.
