The city of Huntsville plans to work with the Army Corp of Engineers to remove large debris from damaged-storm areas.

City leaders passed two resolutions Thursday to enter into an agreement with the USACE.

One resolution allows corp to remove large debris like vehicles and household goods from private property.

City administrator Rex Reynolds said this will a lot with clean up efforts.

"Corp will take over the north west section as it relates to debris removal and that will allow our other crews to work in the other parts of town where the debris pick up is not as large," said Reynolds.

The other resolution passed deals with picking up large trees and limbs.
