Jackson County, AL -

The Army Corps of Engineers will begin the final cleanup phase in DeKalb and Jackson counties on Monday, June 27. Debris should not be pushed to the right-of-way after Sunday, July 3.

The following items will be picked up: Stumps, limbs, trees and household construction debris. Nothing else will be picked up.

Among the items that will not be picked up are: Electronics, appliances, household cleaners, paints, trash, oil, and batteries.

The Corps will also begin to take down trees along the right-of-way which are classified as leaners or hangers.

Storm victims should not pile debris on or around the orange or green pedestals in yards or on right-of-way. These are not markers for debris pick-up points. These are service entrances for utilities.
