A&M Women's Soccer Releases 2011 Schedule

NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs women's soccer program officially released its 2011 fall schedule on Thursday.


The Lady Bulldogs kick off the fall sports season with an exhibition game at home, which is slated as the AAMU Alumni game on Saturday, August 13th at 5 p.m. They will officially open the fall athletic season for all Bulldog sports on Friday, August 19th at home versus Austin Peay University. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.


The Lady Bulldogs will host one other home game in the month of August, on Sunday the 21st against non-conference opponent Kennesaw State University beginning at 1 p.m.


Every weekend in the month of September, A&M will have their bags packed as they travel to Virginia to take on Radford University, on Friday the 2nd. Then on Sunday the 4th the Lady Bulldogs will go west to Johnson City, Tennessee to face East Tennessee State University.


A week later the Maroon & White will continue to travel the state of Tennessee when they face Middle Tennessee, in Murfreesboro on Sunday the 11th. The final trip to the Rocky Mountain state will see the Lady Bulldogs take on UT Chattanooga on Friday the 16th.


A&M opens Southwestern Athletic Conference play on the road taking on Mississippi Valley on Friday, September 30, and then continue to Alcorn State to take on the Braves on Sunday, October 2nd. Jackson State will come into Normal on the 7th while, Murray State and Southern will battle A&M on the 8th and 9th respectively.


The Frank Davies led squad will close out their regular season road trips on the 14th and 16th when they travel to play the University Arkansas-Pine Bluff and then Grambling State.


Alabama A&M will close out October and its home series with inter-state rival Alabama State on the 21st and then conclude the conference season with opponent's Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern on the 28th and 30th.


All home games during the 2011 season will be free attendance.
