KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee running back Alden Hill has decided to transfer to another school. Hill, who's from Alliance, Ohio, had 10 carries for 58 yards and one touchdown as a redshirt freshman last fall.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Thunder forward Kevin Durant said before Oklahoma City's series against Memphis that Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. Allen has proven him right. Durant scored 36 points in Game 2 on Monday night, but the man known for his smoothness and efficiency made just 12 of 28 shots and was uncomfortable all night against Allen.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Donnie Tyndall promises to bring the same aggressive, attacking style of basketball to Tennessee that worked for him at his previous two stops. Tyndall called Tennessee a "special, special place" Tuesday as he was introduced as the Volunteers' new coach.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Paul George scored 27 points and George Hill had all 15 of his points in the second half, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 101-85 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series. The Pacers and Hawks are tied at a game apiece heading into Game 3 in Atlanta on Thursday.
