MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Union officials say race-based discrimination claims have been filed against Kellogg, whose workers have been ordered back to work after a nine-month lockout from the company's Memphis plant. More than 200 workers were locked out Oct. 21 after contract negotiations broke down. The company brought in replacement workers.

BRISTOL, Va. (AP) - A museum is opening in Bristol, Virginia, that recognizes the region's country music heritage. The Birthplace of Country Music Museum debuts today and will host a grand opening ceremony tomorrow. Exhibits will recognize the musical heritage of Bristol, Virginia, and Bristol, Tennessee.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Three Southeast flowers are now protected under the Endangered Species Act. Short's bladderpod, fleshy-fruit gladecress and whorled sunflowers are found in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A man who donated to a South Dakota museum a slightly damaged acoustic guitar played by Elvis Presley that is at the center of a custody battle insists he had the right to give it away because he owned it. A federal judge has been asked to determine whether blues guitarist Robert A. Johnson rightfully owned the broken instrument when he donated it to the National Music Museum last year.
