Several area students are gearing up for an experience that is out of this world!
Twenty students are heading to space camp this summer thanks to dozens of local State Farm agents. Each agent will sponsor a child that has been affected by April's tornadoes.
They said they wanted to do something to help and fulfill dreams at the same time.
The students can't wait to start.
"When I grow up, I want to be an aerospace engineer and I feel that this will help me in my journey," said Daryl Bowden of Huntsville.
"I've had a couple of friends that have gone and they said it was a really good program and they really enjoyed it, so I'm really looking forward to the experience," said Kelvin McCormick of Hazel Green.
The agents raised $15,000 in all for these students to attend the week-long camp.
