Chattanooga, TN – The Milwaukee Brewers have made a couple of roster moves that will impact their Double-A affiliate Huntsville Stars prior to the start of tomorrow's double header at Chattanooga.
Infielder Hunter Morris has been transferred to High-A Brevard County. Morris was promoted to his hometown Huntsville Stars on May 21. In four games with the Stars, Morris was batting .353 (6-17) with a double, a triple, a home run and two RBI. He struck out just once during that period.
Outfielder Logan Schafer has been promoted to the Huntsville Stars from Brevard County. Schafer started the 2011 season on the disabled list. He was activated on May 17 and is 11-for-36 (.306) in nine games with the Manatees. Schafer spent seven games with the Stars in 2009, hitting .217 (5-23). He was named the Brewers Minor League Player of the Year that season.
With these moves, the Stars active roster remains at 24, the Southern League limit. Four players are currently on the disabled list.
The Stars continue their five-game series tomorrow at Chattanooga on Friday. Tonight's game was postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up as part of a double header at 4:15 p.m. CST. For more information on the Huntsville Stars, call (256) 882-2562 or visit www.huntsvillestars.com!
