Hunter Morris was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fourth round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft. He spent the 2010 season with the Class-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, batting .251 (73-291) with nine home runs and 44 RBI.
Morris participated in the Arizona Fall League with the Surprise Rafters following the season. He has been rated by Baseball America as the Best Power Hitter in the Brewers organization. Morris attended Virgil Grissom High School in Huntsville where he was a career .470 hitter with 46 home runs and 198 RBI.
He attended Auburn University where he was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Year and earned All-SEC Second Team honors in 2008.
In 2010, he was named the SEC Player of the Year, batting .386 with a single-season school-record 23 home runs and 76 RBI. Morris is the first player from Huntsville to play for the Huntsville Stars.
