Huntsville teacher waives rights to a preliminary hearing

The Huntsville City School teacher accused of molesting seven students is asking a judge to send his case to the grand jury.

Harvey Knotts filed a motion to waive his right to a preliminary hearing. In that motion Knotts stated he has consulted with his attorney about the process of a preliminary hearing and understands his rights.

 The presiding judge has not ruled on the motion.

 Knotts is accused of sexually abusing seven girls while teaching at McDonnell Elementary School.
