PHIL CAMPBELL, AL (WAFF) -
Workers at the Phil Campbell command center have been flooded with all kinds of donations, but they're still in need of some specific items.
That includes dishes, forks, knives, and spoons, underwear in all sizes for both men and women, garbage bags, one gallon zip lock bags, laundry detergent, plumbing and cleaning supplies.
The center is also taking non-perishable food items, they have can goods but could always use more.
Volunteers want to remind people that the need in this area will be around for awhile.
"Well I just think people need to remember the need is not going to go away these people are trying to rebuild their lives, but it's going to take awhile, and they will still need encouragement and help and physical supplies as well as just someone to listen," said volunteer Jeanette Berryman.
