LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Limestone County officials arrested a man they said targeted a tornado-struck subdivision and stole tools and electronics.
Investigators said 25-year-old Jesse Dale Lewter was caught in the act of looting a heavily damaged neighborhood off McCulley Mill Road. That subdivision was devastated by an EF 5 tornado on April 27th.
Investigators said they responded to the subdivision after a caller alerted them to a suspicious vehicle in Camden Court.
