Rep. Brooks to hold town hall meetings Saturday for storm victims

Congressman Mo Brooks will host a series of town hall meeting across Saturday, May 7.  He'll be joined by a panel from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Small Business Association, and the Red Cross to provide critical information to storm victims concerning government assistance available. The meetings will take place in Pisgah, Huntsville, Tanner, and Moulton.

"I urge tornado victims to attend these meetings to better understand their federal assistance rights," said Brooks. "Some of it is in the form of loans, SBA long term low interest loans but there are also direct grants that you do not have to repay if you qualify, unemployment compensation, rents as you try to find a new place to live."

Tornado victims can also register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency by calling 1-800-621-FEMA.

Here are the times and locations:

11:30 a.m.   Monrovia Community Center

2:30 p.m.     Tanner High School

4:30 p.m.     Lawrence County Courthouse
