Huntsville Police release tornado response crime statistics

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Police Chief Mark Hudson would like to communicate his appreciation to the citizens of Huntsville for voluntarily complying with the curfew during the tornado response and extended power outage.

He would also like to say how proud he is of our Police Officers and the tremendous job they did in maintaining order and protecting our community.

Huntsville Police began 12 hour shift operations on Wednesday night April 27 and continued until May 4. Curfew enforcement began on the night of Friday April 30.

Our Department would like to share a crime and calls for service comparison during our tornado response this year versus the same time frame last year.
