FLORENCE, AL - Oakland A's outfielder Josh Willingham is raising funds to assist victims of last week's devastating tornados across the South. Willingham, a native of Florence, Ala., will be collecting donations through the Josh Willingham Foundation's website, with 100 percent of those funds going towards the immediate needs of those most affected and to the long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.

"The area I am from was devastated by these tornados and a lot of people need help," said Willingham. "My heart goes out to all those who have been dealing with this devastation, and I hope we can work together to raise funds in order to ease the discomforts of the victims who were in the paths of this disaster."

Fans can make a tax deductible donation to the tornado relief efforts online at www.thejoshwillinghamfoundation.org. Willingham originally set up his foundation to help underprivileged children, but in light of the recent disaster, the organization is now focusing on raising funds for those affected in his home state.

The Oakland A's Community Fund made a $10,000 donation to Willingham's tornado relief efforts.
