BIRMINGHAM, AL (AP) - Jefferson County school officials say they are continuing efforts to help students across the state feel comforted in the midst of chaos.
Officials say the school district is providing resources and services to assist school children who were displaced by the storms.
Jefferson County Superintendent Phillip Hammonds says any child displaced by the tornado can be immediately be enrolled in any Jefferson County school.
School officials say Jefferson County schools will offer free meals at all county schools for students who are in need.
Jefferson County schools are also providing access to school supplies and clothes for students, as well as counseling services for the students, faculty and staff.
