Verizon Wireless helping storm victims contact loved ones

As recovery efforts continue in Alabama, Verizon Wireless has generators up and running at several stores in North Alabama to help area residents contact family, friends and loved ones.

Residents without working cell phones can make free calls to family members and charging stations will be set up to allow Verizon customers to charge their cell phones.

Stores now with generator power include:

  • Cullman - 1810 Cherokee Avenue Southwest
  • Jones Valley - 2762 Carl T. Jones Drive SE, Huntsville
  • West Huntsville - 6275 University Drive NW, Huntsville
  • Guntersville - 11476 U.S. Highway 431
  • Fort Payne - 1815 Glenn Boulevard SW
  • Decatur - 1604 Beltline Road SW

Store hours are Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00-6:00 p.m.
