SEC Softball Players of the Week


Kelsey Bruder - Florida

Sr., LF, Corona, Calif.

Had both game-winning walk-off hits in UF's series win over No. 3 Alabama, a first-pitch three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh in the Gators' 6-5 win Saturday and an infield RBI single for the walk-off 3-2, nine-inning victory Sunday as UF took the series…Also tallied one of Florida's three hits on Friday as Alabama took the first game of the three-game series…On a seven-game hit streak, one shy of matching her season-best eight game string…In addition to her game-winning infield hit Sunday, also had a RBI on a blooper single in the bottom of the eighth Sunday that counted as UF's first run of the game and started Florida's rally to tie the game at two-all after eight innings...Had both a triple and a homer in UF's mid-week defeat over UCF, accounting for three of UF's eight runs and RBI in the contest…Had a career-tying five at-bats in Sunday's game against Alabama.


Brittany Mack - LSU

Jr., Round Rock, Texas

Mack reeled off three victories, two of them via the shutout, as LSU picked up five road wins. In addition to her 3-0 record, Mack garnered a 0.67 ERA, limited her opponents to a .155 batting average and doubled her shutout total for the season. She was dominant en route to a one-hitter sparked by eight strikeouts and retired 17 of the final 18 batters she faced during the Ole Miss series finale. In the process, Mack set a new career-best with 13 wins in a season.


Julie Sarratt - South Carolina

P, Gaffney, S.C.

Pitched the Gamecocks to two wins while also helping out at the plate…Posted two complete games in the wins, first throwing a three-hitter in the midweek against Charlotte…Struck out four and didn't walk a batter against the 49ers…Also got a hit in her only plate appearance…Came back and went the distance in the eight-inning win over No. 20/16 Kentucky, giving up three earned runs on three walks and eight hits…Gave herself the win with a walk-off double in the eighth, driving home pinch-runner Kelley Dillon from first….Now leads the Gamecocks in strikeouts and IP.
