The Huntsville Stars begin a five-game home stand against the Birmingham Barons on Saturday, April 23.
On Saturday, the Stars are celebrating Huntsville Little Leagues with a pre-game parade, presented by The Orthopedic Center (TOC). Additionally, all children wearing a youth sports or scout uniform will receive free admission to Saturday's contest, thanks to north Alabama McDonald's. However, only those children who are members of Huntsville Little League and receive a ticket from TOC will be admitted on the field for the pre-game ceremony. Gates open early at 5 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:43.
Sunday is Church Bulletin Sunday where all fans presenting a bulletin from Willowbrook Baptist Church will receive five general admission tickets for just $5! The Stars will also announce the winner of their theme song search before the game. All fans who entered the competition will be invited on the field for the special ceremony. Gates open at 6 p.m. for a 6:43 first pitch.
Make sure you turn in your TPS report before Monday! It's the first "Case of the Mondays" Monday on April 25. Fans will be asked to write down the dumbest thing their boss ever said. The best ones will be read over the PA. The response that receives the best reaction from the crowd will win a case of Pepsi products, thanks to Buffalo Rock. The first pitch will be thrown at 6:43 p.m.!
The Stars will honor the 4-A State Champion Butler High School boy's basketball team on Tuesday night with a pre-game ceremony. The team will also throw out the night's honorary first pitch. All Butler High students who show their ID card at the ticket office will receive tickets for just $4. Also, fans who bring a KRAFT Singles wrapper to the ticket office will get a steal of a deal: buy-one-get-one free tickets! The Stars are also celebrating halfway to Halloween! Get your costumes ready early this year and wear them to The Joe! All kids in costume are invited to go trick-or-treating at the stadium! First pitch is at 6:43 p.m.
Wednesday is the Stars annual Education Day. All north Alabama and southern Tennessee students are invited out to the ballpark for a day of learning and fun, sponsored by North Alabama Educators Credit Union and Mathnasium. It's also the only business person special of the 2011 season! For just $40, you receive four general admission tickets, four hot dogs and four souvenir-size drinks! This is a $62 package for just $40! Gates open at 9:30 a.m. for the special 10:43 first pitch!
