Former Russellville officer charged with making terrorist threat

RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A former police officer involved in a standoff with Russellville police is charged with making a terrorist threat.

Robert Saint's attorney John McReynolds confirmed the charges Friday afternoon.

The standoff happened earlier this month on Ash Avenue in Russellville.  It ended peacefully and Saint was taken to the hospital for evaluation afterwards.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 2nd.
