HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) – More than 40 people applied to become the next superintendent for Huntsville's financially struggling school system.
BWP and Associates said 41 people applied for the superintendent's position by the April 15th deadline.
"It's a very diverse group," said BWP and Associates' George McShan. "We have a good pool of applicants."
The candidates who have applied come from across Alabama and more than ten other states, according to the Illinois-based search firm.
BWP and Associates will screen all the applicants and then go before the school board April 25th to present a list of up to 10 candidates who will be considered for an interview.
