Former North Courtland cop indicted on vehicular homicide charges

Posted: Updated:
LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Lawrence County grand jury has indicted a former North Courtland police officer on two counts of vehicular homicide.

North Courtland's police chief said Brandon Shane Mundy has admitted to running a stop sign, which caused the wreck last summer on Lawrence County Road 217.

Gary and Sandra Cox of Town Creek were killed.

Mundy was fired by the North Courtland Town Council four months ago after the results of the investigation were released.
