Lions Move up to 15th

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Fresh off a 5-0 week, the University of North Alabama baseball team moved up three spots in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II poll to 15th. The Lions, now 21-7 overall, have been ranked as high as 11th this season but were 18th a week ago. UNA swept a two-game series from Arkansas Tech and a three-game road series at Valdosta State to extend its current winning streak to six games.

The Lions are still ranked No. 2 in the South Region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The Lions  home game scheduled for Tuesday against LeMoyne-Owen has been cancelled.

UNA will host No. 3 ranked West Florida on Saturday and Sunday in a three-game Gulf South Conference series at Mike Lane Field.
