The poisoning of the trees at Toomer's Corner has sparked outrage across the state from fans of both Auburn and Alabama. Our website and facebook pages have received numerous comments calling it a cowardly act and a crime against nature. All of which is correct. But it's also brought to light just how deep the division between the two schools' fan bases can sometimes run. A friendly rivalry is one thing, but it should never escalate to the level of criminal behavior. That's why Raycom Media's stations throughout Alabama are asking fans to unite by planting a tree to show their support. To find out more, go to the My Take section of WAFF.com. That's where we've placed links to information on trees and tree planting. While you're there, leave a comment to let us know you're planting a tree or what else you're doing to show your support. It's a great way to speak out against this cowardly act of vandalism. I'm Vanessa Oubre and that's my take. What's yours?
