Gurley, AL -
GURLEY, AL (WAFF) - A jury is hearing testimony in a 2.75 million dollar lawsuit against the town of Gurley.
M&N Materials is suing the town of Gurley, the mayor, and Vulcan Materials.
The company bought land near Gurley in 2003 with the intention of building a quarry.
The land was then annexed into Gurley in 2004, but city officials denied the company's request for a business license.
M&N contends the mayor interfered in a lawsuit deal and took the land away by limiting how it could be used.
