Michael Jackson impersonator dances in North Alabama

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - He's got the glove, the hat, sparkling socks, but most of all, he's got the moves.

As the theme from Billie Jean blasts from a boom box James McCullough from Somerville says he likes what he sees.  "I think he's got it down," says McCullough.

Stanley Matthews keeps "getting down" as a street performer all over North Alabama, paying homage to Michael Jackson.

"I've always enjoyed watching him and seeing him as a kid growing up and I thought he was wonderful," said Stanley Matthews.

Matthews says he's also a preacher, making sure others know Michael Jackson's talent was God given.

His wife, Monica sets up gigs, and makes sure Matthews is "show ready."

"I enjoy doing what I do with my husband," said Monica.

Matthew's routine is one that is well known in this area. As a matter of fact it even stops traffic.

Athens resident, George Cassimus says he deserves a double take.

"We just driving down the road and saw him dancing here and had to turn around and check it out," says Cassimus.

Wherever he goes, he attracts a lot of attention.

Matthews says he will continue to moonwalk his way across North Alabama.  For more information about Matthew, you can call 256-318-5250.   He says he performs regularly for private parties.
