Huntsville Havoc Weekly Update

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Huntsville Havoc got the 2010-11 season off to a great start with a road win in Augusta on Friday before opening the home schedule with a dominating performance over Fayetteville.


Friday, March 26 – Huntsville 5, Augusta 3

AUGUSTA- GA – Ray Ortiz scored two goals and the Huntsville Havoc opened the season with a 5-3 win over SPHL newcomer Augusta.

          Kevin Kessler, Kyle Laughlin and Glenn Detulleo all scored one goal each for the Havoc. Mike MacDonald and Billy McCreary both had two assists each.

          Jason Price had two goals for Augusta while Neil Graham had one.

          Dan McWhinney made 18 saves in the win.


Saturday, October 23 – Fayetteville 2, Huntsville 6

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Stephen Margeson had a hat-trick in his first home game in a Huntsville jersey as the Havoc cruised to a 6-2 win over the Fayetteville Fire Antz Saturday night.

Mike MacDonald pitched in with two goals while Billy McCreary had one. Shawn Arvai had three assists in his first game and Glenn Detulleo had two assists for the Havoc.

Bobby Reed and Rob Sich had a goal each for Fayetteville.

Dan McWhinney made 26 saves in the win.

Friday, October 29th vs Pensacola – The first 1,500 fans will receive the first set of Havoc Trading Cards featuring Ray Ortiz, Billy McCreary and Dan McWhinney. All three players will sign their cards after the game.


Saturday, October 30th vs Columbus – Coca-Cola and Landers McLarty Nissan present "Havocween." Fans can trunk-or-treat with the Mickey's Havoc Girls starting at 6:00. The first 1,000 fans will receive a goalie mask courtesy of Coca-Cola. The Havoc will also wear special Halloween jerseys and auction them off after the game.
