Madison, AL -
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A bank robbery in Madison led to a high speed chase in Huntsville Monday afternoon.
Police say two men robbed the Bank Corp South on Hughes Road around 2:30 p.m. Investigators say the suspects demanded cash from one of the tellers.
Madison Police say when they pulled up to the bank, the pair of men broke off, one of them running behind the bank into the Colonial Grand Apartments and the other taking off in a car.
Officers chased the car into Huntsville and ended up at a mobile home park on Bob Wallace. Police were able to take the second man into custody there. A pistol used in the robbery was recovered as well as cash taken from the bank.
32-year-old Tavares Antwan Oliver and 22-year-old Anthony Shawn Clark, both of Huntsville, are being charged with first degree robbery and will be held in the Madison County Jail pending $60,000 bond.
