JACKSON, Tenn. -- Hollie Loud scored on a penalty kick in the 79th minute to give the University of North Alabama women's soccer team its 10th straight win as the Lions downed Lambuth 2-1. UNA trailed 1-0 at intermission but rallied for two goals in the second half for the win.
The Lions are now 11-2 overall.
Malissa Galloghy scored the game's first goal at the 29:01 mark, putting the ball past UNA goalkeeper Lauren Middleton. The Eagles held the lead until 49:56 when UNA's Julia Osmond scored on a long free kick. It was her second goal of the season.
Loud then scored on a penalty kick at the 78:04 mark to give UNA the 2-1 lead. It was her fourth goal of the season. UNA out-shot Lambuth 18-2. Alex McLay came in at goal in the second half for UNA and recorded one save, while shutting out the Eagles for the final 45 minutes.
UNA had defeated Lambuth 9-1 in Florence earleir this season.
