ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The case against a man accused of killing an Albertville woman is going to the grand jury.
Investigators said Ray Christopher Shockley murdered his girlfriend, Tonya Turnmire, in their home on East McKinney Avenue, then dumped her body out of town.
In June, Turnmire disappeared after leaving the Y-mart in Boaz, where she worked.
Investigators found her body later that month in Etowah County.
According to police, Shockley confessed to killing Turnmire.
