HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Police say a rash of burglaries around the City of Huntsville has been solved.

In a string of break-ins, police believe they found the common thread around the McDow Avenue and Jordan Lane neighborhood.

Police arrested four juveniles, who police say have been responsible for several break-ins all on the same street.

In an attempt to go unnoticed, Mildred Love said thieves cut wires off the side of her home in case of an alarm system.

"My garage door and my kitchen door and my bedroom door had been kicked in and a lot of items were taken," said Love.

A television, jewelry, and money were all stolen.

Living in this Huntsville neighborhood for the past ten years, Love added it had always been peaceful until recent incidents.

Break-ins all happening within weeks of each other along McDow Avenue.

Other neighbors, like Ray Hickey, who live down the street said it has made everyone uneasy.

"So at that point I got concerned," said Hickey.

Huntsville police made three more arrests from burglaries off Bell Avenue, bringing the total to seven. Police believe they can connect the suspects to 11 home burglaries in north Huntsville.
