Crossville, AL -

CROSSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A wreck on County Road 9 in the DeKalb County community of Painter killed a Grove Oak teen Sunday.

First responders said two cars collided head-on around 6:00 p.m. 18-year-old Amber Wilborn was killed when the 2007 Mazda she was driving collided head-on with a 1999 Dodge.

A juvenile passenger in Wilborn's car was also injured in the accident.

The driver of the Dodge, 30-year-old Frances Miles of Crossville, was taken to Marshall Medical Center South with minor injuries.

State troopers are investigating the accident.
