No. 8 Wallace State softball has play suspended until Monday in ACCC Region XXII Tournament

HANCEVILLE – Wallace State Community College's eighth-ranked softball team had its winner's bracket game against Central Alabama CC suspended until Monday at 1 p.m. due to inclement weather Sunday in the Alabama Community College Conference Region XXII Tournament at Alabaster's Veteran's Park.

The game is scoreless in the bottom of the first. The winner advances to the championship game slated for Tuesday at 1 p.m., while the loser plays again at 5 p.m. on Monday.

Wallace State, the three-time defending state champions and tournament's top seed, notched a pair of victories Saturday, the opening day of the double-elimination event. The Lady Lions (54-7) defeated Faulkner State 7-1 in their opener and prevailed 4-2 over Wallace-Dothan in the second round.
