AUBURN - The Auburn softball team will take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at home Tuesday and then hit the road for a neutral site game against Middle Tennessee in Huntsville, Ala., Wednesday.
Tuesday's game against Jacksonville State is slated for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch at Jane B. Moore Field.
Wednesday's game against Middle Tennessee will also begin at 6 p.m.
CT, but will played at the Metro Kiwanis Sportsplex in Huntsville.
The Tigers go into the non-conference games with a 25-23 record overall and are coming off a series win against conference rival Ole Miss in Oxford, winning two of the three games. Auburn is 10-1 all-time against Jacksonville State and hold an 8-2 series edge against Middle Tennessee.
Auburn's Kyndall White and Elizabeth Eisterhold have combined to hit five home runs in the past five games. Eisterhold has hit a pair of home runs, while White has three. White has moved into 10th place in the Auburn career home run list with 17 homers. Eisterhold is just two behind with 15 career home runs.
Jacksonville State is 23-16 on the season and has won five straight games and 10 of the last 12. Jacksonville State is led offensively by Hillary Downs who has a team-high .372 batting average, 25 RBI and is tied for the team lead with seven home runs. Ashley Eliasson leads the Gamecocks' pitching staff with a 16-7 record and a 2.45 ERA in 165.2 innings of work.
Middle Tennessee is 19-23 and has been led by Corrie Abel with a .351 batting average. Natalie Ysais leads the Blue Raiders with 22 RBI, while Caitlin McLure is 21-of-21 in stolen bases this season.
