Karla Redditte joined WAFF as a reporter/anchor in April 2010. Karla comes to the "Rocket City" from Savannah, GA, where she most recently served as the public information manager for the Savannah Chatham County Public School System.
However, before that, she was a television anchor/reporter for seven years. She started her career as a weekend anchor/reporter at WLOX in Biloxi, Mississippi in 2002.
Later, she headed to WTOC in Savannah, Georgia, where she served as a morning anchor/reporter for three years.
Karla grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her undergraduate degree in communications from Loyola University in New Orleans. While an undergraduate student, she had the opportunity to spend summers in Mexico and Cuba, studying Spanish and Latin American history. Karla also has a master's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri- Columbia.
She loves to dance (she studied ballet, tap, and jazz for 14 years) and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as well as the National Association of Black Journalists.
