Eryk Anders Update

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA  –  Eryk Anders is preparing for professional football. He had an excellent Pro Day on March 10th, working out for all 32 NFL teams.  Eryk has also worked out for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL and is preparing for additional upcoming work-outs with NFL teams. He is also focused on additional opportunities over the next 2-plus weeks before the draft and free agent signing period begins.

Leading up to his Pro Day, Eryk trained at CES, Competitive Edge Sports, receiving hands-on instruction from Chip Smith.  Chip and his trainers helped Eryk achieve excellent progress and states Eryk is a very good option for teams due to his speed and quickness.  Eryk is ready to show scouts and management that he is ready for the next level.   Attached please find a letter from his position coach, Sal Sunseri, discussing what Eryk brought to the National Championship team.

Eryk had an excellent season, capped by an outstanding National Championship Game.  During the season, he had 66 total tackles (4th on team) with 14.5 tackles for losses (tied for 1st on team) for a total of 88 yards lost (1st on team). He had 6 sacks (2nd on team to Marcel Dareus by .5), with lost yardage of 61 yards (1st on team). He was credited with 17 QB hurries (1st on team), but his impact was felt more regularly. In coverage, he had 1 interception and 2 pass deflections.  He also forced 3 fumbles (1st on team) and recovered 1. He has excellent speed in the 4.5 -4.6 range, as well as has statistically performed in the top of all linebackers in agility drills.  He has an outstanding fan following at the University of Alabama, was an Eagle Scout and obtained his degree. He is featured (twice) in Daniel Moore's painting commemorating Alabama's 13th National Championship.
