Vols fall in heartbreaker in NCAA Tournament

The Tennessee Volunteers reached the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight for the first time in school history, but couldn't advance to the Final Four falling to Michigan State 70-69 in the Midwest Regional Final.

The Vols Scotty Hopson had the chance to give the Vols the lead on the second of two free throws.  He missed and Michigan State went the other way and was fouled in the act of shooting.  The Spartans hit one of two to take the lead.

With 1.6 seconds remaining in the game, Tennessee's JP Prince had the chance to win the game with a half court shot as time expired.  The shot fell short as the Vols season comes to an end.
