More than one hundred volunteers got out Saturday to clean up the road between Guntersville and Arab.
Volunteers picked up trash along a 13 mile route between the two cities. Boy Scouts, VFW members, also Marshall County sheriff's deputies and inmates were all out to help.

At the end, volunteers even enjoyed a nice lunch as a thanks to them giving their time. "A lot of political candidates. We did what we wanted to do, to make the county look better and to prove that people will work together," said event organizer Charlie McClendon.
At the end of the day, numerous bags of the picked up trash were taken to the area's landfill.
