NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. -- With the final College Hockey America Tournament set to begin this weekend, Alabama-Huntsville hockey junior goaltender Cameron Talbot (Caledonia, Ontario) has picked up 2nd-team All-CHA honors, while freshman foward Matti Järvinen (Espoo, Finland) earned All-Rookie team honors as announced by the league.
Talbot picked up the honor having posted 934 saves during the regular season, 164 more than any other netminder in the league. The junior is among the nation's leaders in save percentage ranking 12th in the country with a .920 mark.
Järvinen ranked third in the league in scoring among all newcomers having scored five goals and a dozen assists for 17 points in his debut season.
The Chargers take on second-seeded Robert Morris on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the opening round of the CHA Tournament in Niagara Univ., N.Y.
