MOULTON, AL (WAFF) – One man is in custody and a juvenile in the care of a guardian after lawmen in Lawrence County busted a suspected indoor marijuana grow operation in Trinity.

The Lawrence County Drug Task Force along with Sheriff's deputies arrested 47-year-old Donald Collins Monday at the home on County Road 14 in Trinity following an investigation that included a controlled buy from a juvenile who lived at the residence.

Investigators seized 50 fully developed plants, valued at about $5,000, along with other items used to cultivate marijuana.

Investigators also discovered homemade wine in the juvenile's bedroom along with more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Charges are pending against the juvenile who has been turned over to the custody of a guardian.

Collins, who is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, has since been released on $3,000 bond.
