FLORENCE – Six players reached double digits in scoring as the University of North Alabama men's basketball team raced past Concordia-Selma 116-78 Saturday evening at Flowers Hall. Rory Miller led all scorers with 32 points as the Lions climbed back above the .500 mark for the season with a 10-9 record.
Miller reached at least 30 points for the second consecutive game, this time, getting the total in only 26 minutes of playing time. The Lions built a 52-32 lead at the break before scoring 64 points in the second half.
Jared Strode added 24 points for North Alabama while Eddie Lima just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Daviel Clements (12 points), Marquel Darrington (11 points) and Warrick Mastin (10 points) rounded out the top scorers for the Lions. Concordia (1-15) was led by Gabriel Ball's 18 points.
In the second half, UNA shot a blistering 65.7 percent from the field. The Lions led by as many as 42 points after a layup by Lima with 1:16 remaining.
