Thousands expected for Tide's title celebration

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The University of Alabama is celebrating its football national championship with an event at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Thousands of fans are expected for an hour long celebration beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

The weather forecast is iffy, but school officials say the free event will be held regardless of any rain, and fans can bring umbrellas.

Coach Nick Saban will speak, and players will be there along with the marching band.

And plenty of national championship memorabilia will be on sale.

There's also a freebie: The first 50,000 fans entering the stadium will get a free poster of the Crimson Tide football team taken at the Rose Bowl.
