DECATUR, AL (WAFF) – A raid on a Decatur man's home ended in his arrest for cocaine trafficking on Friday.

Janadas Shontes McDaniel was arrested after drug agents searched his home on Browning Drive Southwest.

Agents with the Decatur Police Department's Special Operations Division, Madison-Morgan County Strategic Counterdrug Unit and the Alabama Beverage Control Board found cocaine, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the search.

In a press conference Monday, investigators showed some of the items confiscated during a search warrant of that property. Authorities said they found 1 1/2 kilos of cocaine, more than two pounds of marijuana, $103,000 in cash, three handguns, two vehicles and five televisions.

Investigators said more arrests could be made.

"These are upper level drug dealers," said Sgt. Dewayne McCarver with the Madison and Morgan County STAC Team. "To have that amount of cash and drugs, it's upper level and this will make a huge impact on the area. As far as the battle on drugs in Decatur, this is very impressive and the city of Decatur should be excited about it."

McDaniel was being held in the Morgan County jail Monday afternoon.
