FLORENCE, Ala. -- As thousands of fans head to Alabama to cheer on their favorite football team, AT&T* announced a new way for fans to spread holiday and football cheer to deserving local children during the NCAA® Division II National Football Championship at Braly Municipal Stadium in Florence, Ala. on Saturday, Dec. 12.
AT&T is asking fans to donate toys as they enter the stadium on game day. Guests are invited to bring their new, unwrapped toy or monetary donation to the Toys for Tots donation bins located at the main entrance of Braly Municipal Stadium to support the Toys for Tots campaign. Local members of the U.S. Marine Corps will be on site to help collect donations.
"We believe in the importance of making the holiday season special for everyone," said Tim McGhee, executive director, AT&T corporate sponsorships. "We're honored to be able to work with organizations that provide children with much deserved cheer during the holiday season."
Fans in attendance will also be able to participate in a text-to-win promotion that offers the winner an AT&T and Wilson® Prize Pack, including a new LG handset, $50 AT&T gift card, official NCAA Wilson® football and Wilson® duffle bag, all compliments of AT&T.
During halftime, two lucky fans will be selected at random to compete in an on-field Punt, Pass, Run competition. The two selected fans will punt the football on-field as far as possible, and from that spot, pass the football as far as possible, and from there, run the football into the end zone. The first person to cross the end zone will be named the winner. The winner will receive an AT&T and Wilson® Prize Pack.
