Since the first WAFF 48 Holiday Can-a-thon in 1992, WAFF 48 and its partners have collected more than3 million canned food items!
This food has helped so many families throughout the Heart of the Valley and has become an important source of donations for agencies whose mission is to help the needy.
We are tremendously proud of the impact this event has had on our community and are committed to make this year's event a great success, too! The 19th annual WAFF 48 Holiday Can-a-thon is scheduled for Thursday, December 6.
Remember – All donations stay in the county in which they were made so any donation you make is received by someone in your community.
And there are so many ways you can help!
You can sponsor a can collection campaign in your office, school, neighborhood or church. For ideas on how to do this, click on the "Idea Bank" link on this page.
You can contact your county's WAFF 48 Can-a-thon Representative to find out how to volunteer on the day of the event. To find out who your county representative is click on the link for your area.
Be sure to send information and photos of your Can-a-thon activities to canathon@waff.com. You can also call 256-564-5652 for more information about the WAFF 48 Holiday Can-a-thon.
